Using TradingView With a Prop Firm

TradingView is the favourite charting platform for many traders. You can use it with prop firms in three ways.

Step by step

  1. Trade directly where the firm supports TradingView, such as FXIFY.
  2. Chart on TradingView and place trades on MT5 or the firm’s platform.
  3. For futures, connect through supported brokers such as Tradovate (used by Apex connections).
  4. Set price alerts on TradingView for your planned levels.
  5. Check that TradingView prices match your firm’s feed, especially on CFDs.

Good to know

Webhook automation from TradingView alerts may count as algorithmic trading under some firms’ rules.

Before your first trade

Whatever platform you use, place a tiny test trade, confirm the profit and loss per pip or point matches your calculations, and check how the platform shows equity, since most daily loss limits are based on equity.
