How Topstep payouts work

Express Funded Account payouts are capped per request (50% of balance up to a fixed cap, $125 minimum). After the first payout, each new payout requires meeting your path’s requirements again. UK traders can be paid via Wise, usually in one to three business days; ACH and wire carry a $30 fee.

Getting paid in the UK

Topstep pays in US dollars, so your bank, Wise or a crypto exchange converts the payout to pounds. Compare the rate you’re offered with the mid-market rate: bank margins of 1–2.5% add up over a year of payouts. Complete KYC early with documents that match your account name exactly, and use a payout account in the same name.

Tips to avoid delays

• Leave a buffer: after your first payout, the Maximum Loss Limit resets to $0, so withdrawing everything leaves no room for a losing day.
• Close all open positions before requesting if the firm requires it.
• Keep screenshots of the request and your trade history.
