Minimum trading day rules require you to trade on a set number of days before you can pass or request a payout. They exist to stop traders passing on a single lucky day.
How firms use them
- The5ers High Stakes: three profitable days per step, each closing at least 0.5% of the starting balance in profit.
- FundedNext Stellar 1-Step: at least two trading days.
- Funding Pips 2 Step Standard: three trading days per phase.
- FXIFY Three Phase: four trading days per phase.
- Apex, SabioTrade and The5ers Hyper Growth: none.
Trading days vs profitable days
A “trading day” usually means any day with at least one trade. A “profitable day” must close in profit, sometimes above a threshold. Profitable-day rules are harder to meet.
Don’t overtrade to finish the days
The biggest risk is hitting the target early, then taking poor trades just to tick off days. Plan small, low-risk trades for the remaining days instead.
See prop firms with no minimum trading days.
Example
You hit The5ers High Stakes’ 10% target in four days, but only two of those days closed with at least 0.5% profit. You still need one more profitable day. Rather than forcing a big trade, place one small, high-quality trade on each following day until you close one profitable day, keeping risk low so you don’t give back the target.
